Remember the early mornings on the Cut, the swing of your boat, and the crowd cheering at the Finish Line? Each decade of Washington Women's Rowing has its own stories, triumphs, and bonds - now is the time to step up together and power the future of Husky Rowing.
How Does It Work?
From the trailblazing 1970s to the powerhouse 2020s, each decade of alumnae has shaped the legacy of Husky Women’s Rowing. Now it’s time to see which decade can pull hardest for the future.
-
Every gift counts toward your decade’s total—big or small.
-
Points are awarded for both participation and dollars raised.
-
We’ll update the leaderboard weekly, so you can watch your decade’s boat surge down the racecourse.

Why "now" matters!
-
With conference changes (UW moving into the Big Ten for example) comes new challenges (travel costs, competition levels, recruiting). To fully leverage this shift, current resources are important.
-
Inflation, equipment costs, and other operational costs keep rising. Earlier contributions go further than delayed ones.
-
Keeping momentum in recruiting: top-tier athletes notice well-funded programs. If UW wants to attract the best, immediate funding sends an important signal.
When you donate to Washington Rowing, you’ll ensure the Huskies remain a powerhouse competitor today and for generations to come. We want to continue the tradition of excellence on and off the water, ensuring that our student-athletes thrive on the water, in the classroom, and in life. All gifts are tax-deductible and help support the program’s greatest needs.
Help us preserve the Legacy of the Women of Washington Rowing, as we build into the Future. Women's rowing at UW has 50 years of history, with alumni who changed the sport and opened doors for future generations. Today's fundraising ensures that legacy doesn't just survive, it thrives, keeping Washington a powerhouse in collegiate rowing.
Where to donate

The Title IX Legacy Endowment offers a way to support the operational costs of the women’s program. Started by a group of Washington women rowers from the ’70s, the endowment is named in honor of the landmark Title IX legislation that opened the door to equity for women in athletics, education and life. “Most of us were walk-ons, but Washington turned us into confident and intense athletes,” said Linda Fornaciari, one of the early alumnae donors to the fund. “It was a chapter in our lives when we were so strong, physically and mentally, a time when we realized the power of teamwork. We carried that forward into our lives to this day and we want every rower in the future to feel the same.”

Each year, we turn to caring people like you to provide support for everything that makes Washington Rowing great. Your gift ensures an amazing intercollegiate rowing experience to more than 120 student-athletes every season, fueling team travel, technological advances, leading-edge boats and equipment, team bonding experience, and so much more. All gifts are tax deductible and qualify you for Tyee Club annual member benefits! You may donate to Men’s Rowing, Women’s Rowing or the overall Washington Rowing program.
